What others have to say

WHAT A MAGICAL DAY WE HAD!

This experience was a gift from my amazing husband.

I dreamed of a day on the Blue Turquoise Ocean, as Covid was making life hard.

We saw a picture of this sailboat, and I just knew this was my Serenity.

Peter made all the arrangements from Canada. Dr. Hank was professional and worked with Peter to create a sailing adventure tailed to what we wanted, which included a private experience.

When we arrived at the dock Henry greeted me and helped me on the most Beautiful Sailboat.

I got to sit upon the bow of a gorgeous sailing boat relaxing with just the wind in my hair, sun on my skin, and the sails gently flapping.

Henry was such a kind young man, he asked exactly what I wanted to do and said these special words " this day is all about you, we are all here to make this day special."

During the trip we sunbathed, swam, and sailed around Isla Mujeres.

Peter went WINGDIVING off the stern of the boat, he said it was an Effortless and breathtaking perspective.

It was such a special day and we couldn’t have done it without Dr. Hank and his son Henry (Hank Landemare), and their Mexican crew was super, the weather was just right.

Not too sunny, not too windy, really, we could not have asked for anything more.

4 TEXAN GALS TAKE TO THE SEA 'GIRLS ONLY' DAY~SAILING ON ISLA!

YEP, told the guys adios, we hopped a flight from Texas and landed finally on ISLA.

I've been coming to Isla for 30 years and wanted to try something different so we got a hold of Dr. Hank and booked his personal sloop for a DAY SAIL.

Party catamarans never interested me and this turned out to be the perfect way to relax and cruise the Isla coast.

What a lovely day, no hot sun, but instead big billowy clouds breezing along with us as we slid down the coast towards South Point.

With plenty of room to stretch out on the deck, we got to see Isla from a completely different perspective, even got spritzed by a shower!

On the way back up the coast, we ducked into the lagoon and cruised the calm waters down past the Cuban restaurant Varadero all the way down to Oscars, passing the typical party catamarans along the way.

Next stop- North Beach, so off we went thinking we might want to snorkel at the Mia reef but decided it was too much fun just sailing, so we headed out into the open sea to Isla Blanca, and boy what a ride!

Once we hit some good wind, we opened up to 8 knots flying along and made it there from Isla in just 10 minutes. We are cowgirls and really liked that bronco ride home!

if you want to break-out of the norm and do something special on your next Isla trip, grab the family and a few friends and get away from the crowded tourist traps and sail away on this lovely sloop.

THE MOST FANTASTIC DAY ON ISLA!

Our family of 6 had been on the island for almost a week and we really wanted to have a fun family day sailing.

None of us wanted to do the crazy big catamaran scene, especially now with the quarantine, and boy did we find the perfect sailboat.

We found Dr. Hank and what a beautiful sloop! The perfect size for a personal sail for just kicking back on deck with drinks, sunshine, and the total freedom and relaxing peace you find with this kind of sailing.

We sailed for 4 hours stopping once to snorkel on a shipwreck with tons of fish (all gear is provided) and then sailed around to Playa Norte, (north beach) dropped the anchor, and took a dip (can't get enough of the warm Isla water)

We climbed back aboard and toweled off just in time for another round of drinks and the incredible sunset only Isla Mujeres can offer.

If you want a day on Isla to remember forever, PM or get in touch with Dr. Hank

WHAT A TREAT!

My husband and l are on the island staying in the Gloria for a month and wanted to do some sailing.  Neither of us was interested in the catamaran scene.

What a treat when we found Dr. Hank with his 37 ft. sloop!  We sailed for 4 hours all over the bay to the edge of the sea north of Playa Norte, a great adventure on the Caribbean!

The sailing was awesome but it was too windy to try their wing diving and snorkeling.  Dr. Hank said sometimes they even attack the big catamarans with water bombs and water cannons (all in fun)!

If you want a unique experience with a seasoned and friendly captain on the beautiful bay, I recommend you check them out.

I WAS A DOLPHIN FOR A DAY!

My fiancé and I have been to so many Islands, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, just to name a few, but we keep coming back to Isla!

And in the past we did the party- boat-catamaran tours on all those Islands and never liked it that much, loud drunks, people we don’t know, and especially now with the safety concern, so we were glad to find Dr. Hank and his classic sloop for a private sail around Isla, and oh what a boat!

Just gorgeous and so comfortable to sit in the cockpit and watch Isla fly by.

Seeing Isla from the water gives you a whole other perspective of the Island you think you know so well, and the best part is, they offer WINGDIVING included with an instructor at no charge!

if you don’t know what WINGDIVING is, let me explain it to you.

It’s like a big water wing they tow behind the sailboat and you’re holding on, face down with a mask and snorkel tooling along about 3 miles per hour watching all of the sea life glide by below.

And with just a flick of the wrist, you suddenly dive to the bottom! Hank's son Henry was on his wing by Scott’s side and they saw 3 manta rays up close and a huge blowfish!

Then we sailed up to a shipwreck and snorkeled there with and a thousand fish, and toweled off in time for another round of drinks and the most gorgeous sunset ever, as we headed back to the island.

Thanks you guys for the best memories of our lsla trip! I want to add one of the best highlights of the trip was actually meeting Hank and his son Henry! Henry has such an awesome personality he will keep you laughing the whole time he was also a great with getting in the water and wing diving with Scott when I didn’t want to do it.

We are now going to be friends for life and cannot wait to come back and see them next time around!

MEXICAN GETAWAY!

Freezing cold and snow is all that awaits us back home so we wanted to make the most of our lsla getaway and we did just that on this beautiful sailing sloop with Dr. Hank and son Henry.

We have done the booze-boat catamarans in the past and didn’t want that especially now with covid and crowds, so what a surprise when we stepped onto this beautiful sailing sloop!

What a day, warm and breezy with everyone lounging around on deck basking as we gently sailed north to our first destination for snorkeling, the sunken shipwreck!

The water was like sapphire and there were so many fish as we all jumped in and snorkeled around the wreck.
Apparently, it was a shrimping trawler that broke free in a hurricane many years ago and sank making its new home here far from where it began, and now a new home for tons of fish!
Next stop, WINGDIVING!

Our water-girl jumped in with Henry and in a matter of minutes was disappearing underwater then surfacing only to go down again, our captain said this secret reef was perfect for WINGDIVING

Next, we hoisted the sails and slid closer to land, and dropped anchor at North Beach for some more water time, the sky and water couldn’t get any bluer!
Our day sailing was the perfect balance of excitement and relaxation, thanks to you guys for this beautiful memory!
